The Omada program is delivered remotely and designed in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control protocol and content for its Diabetes Prevention Recognition Program (DPRP). Omada incorporates the CDC’s DPRP standards into its 16-week core curriculum, which is followed by Omada’s 8-month Focus program.
Omada Health empowers people to achieve their health goals through sustainable lifestyle change by providing tools and resources such as a professional health coach, a small peer support group, health education resources, and a secure smartphone app that enables health status tracking such as weight and activity.
As part of your prescription coverage your plan may require you to enroll and engage in Omada. Your plan may ask that you meet the following requirements each month:
1) Use the Omada app four times, by either completing lessons, engaging with your health coach, peer group or online community.
2) Weigh in four times using the smart scale provided by Omada.
